About the Role
We are looking for a Local Commodity Manager who will manage supplier markets, optimize procurement conditions, and support projects throughout the full purchase lifecycle. This role acts as the key link between suppliers, projects, and corporate category management.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier & Market Management
- Maintain supplier databases and ensure accurate prequalification.
- Monitor supplier performance (technical, financial, compliance).
- Identify and onboard new suppliers, promoting sustainability and value addition.
- Stay updated on market trends, mergers, acquisitions, and industry changes.
Project Support – Pre-Award
Prepare and validate vendor lists for proposals and projects.Review bids, analyze client vendor lists, and suggest optimized supplier options.Support preliminary technical-commercial evaluations.Project Support – Award Phase
Review final commercial tabulations and identify risks & opportunities.Support negotiations and help resolve deviations in commercial conditions.Participate in award committees and support supplier financial assessments.Project Execution
Assist in resolving supplier issues during execution.Support procurement teams in material shortages, supervision contracts, and order close-outs.Corporate Responsibilities
Lead Corporate Volume Rebate Agreements with key suppliers.Promote technical-commercial framework agreements.Ensure compliance with corporate procurement procedures.Contribute to process improvements, training, and digital tools development.Maintain historical pricing and cost data for better forecasting.Attend supplier meetings and visit local workshops for capability assessment.What We’re Looking For
Strong understanding of supplier markets and materials.Experience in procurement / supply chain within industrial or EPC environments (preferred).Analytical skills and ability to manage complex supplier relationships.Excellent communication, negotiation, and coordination abilities.Ability to work in international, fast-paced project environments.
