The role involves deep sustainability and ESG research evaluating companies on environmental social and governance parameters and supporting investment decisions through data-driven insights.
Responsibilities
Explore and analyse trends in sustainability ESG corporate governance business ethics and regulations.
Identify material ESG issues for sectors and individual companies.
Use analytical tools to question challenge and assess current ESG practices.
Prepare sector-level research reports and rank companies based on disclosures performance and qualitative factors.
Convert research findings into clear PowerPoint presentations.
Meet company management teams to understand sustainability strategy and progress.
Handle proxy voting for portfolio companies across all resolutions.
Build and maintain databases for Proxy Voting Stewardship Code and SFDR
Key Requirements
Strong analytical research and communication skills.
Curiosity and passion for sustainability and corporate governance.
Detail-focused with a structured methodical approach to work.
Willingness to be based in Mumbai.
Qualifications
LLB or LLM.
4-7 years of experience in traditional stock market or equity research.
Prior ESG experience is preferred but not mandatory.
