Pre-Sales Specialist / Pre-Sales Consultant – Banking Domain Solutions

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Pre-Sales Consultant with strong Banking Domain & Solution Consulting expertise . This role requires hands-on experience working with banking processes, workflows, and use cases— not just generic presales experience . The ideal candidate must be able to understand banking operations deeply, translate them into product-driven solutions, and articulate value to stakeholders across US and European markets.
Key Responsibilities
Banking Domain Solution Consulting
- Engage with banking clients to understand business processes, regulatory needs, and operational challenges.
- Map banking workflows (Retail, Corporate, Lending, Payments, Compliance, Risk, etc.) to product capabilities.
- Provide domain-led solutioning and advisory aligned with industry standards and best practices.
- Conduct workshops to assess current-state vs. future-state solution fitment.
Pre-Sales & Product Fitment
Convert customer requirements into tailored solution proposals and product demos.Deliver compelling presentations highlighting domain value, process transformation, and ROI.Lead technical / functional discussions focusing on banking use cases, data flows, integrations, and compliance needs.RFP / RFI & Due Diligence Ownership
Analyze and respond to complex RFPs / RFIs from banks and financial institutions.Collaborate with product, engineering, and domain SMEs to provide accurate, competitive responses.Own functional, domain, and technical solution write-ups.Product Demonstrations
Build banking-domain-based demo scenarios, scripts, and customer-specific flows.Demonstrate end-to-end banking lifecycle processes using the product (e.G., onboarding, KYC, loan origination, credit decisioning, risk assessment, etc.).Solution Collateral Development
Create domain-specific decks, whitepapers, POV artifacts, solution blueprints, and use-case documents.Support sales with bid support, business case creation, and strategic solution recommendations.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Product Management to share banking-specific feature needs.Partner with Engineering for integrations, regulatory clarifications, and solution feasibility.Assist Sales teams with deal strategies tailored to banking personas (CIO, COO, CRO, Head of Operations, etc.)Market & Competitive Intelligence
Stay updated on banking trends, digital transformation initiatives, regulatory updates, and competitor offerings.Provide domain insights to internal teams to improve positioning and product roadmap alignment.Required Skills & Experience
Must-Have
5–12 years of experience in Banking Domain Solution Consulting + Pre-Sales (both required).Strong understanding of Banking / BFSI processes —Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, Lending, KYC / AML, Risk, Payments, Compliance, etc.Ability to translate banking workflows into product use cases and business value.Experience conducting banking-focused demos , workshops, discovery sessions, and solution design.Hands-on experience in RFP / RFI responses for banking clients .Strong communication, storytelling, and value-selling skills.Good-to-Have
Experience in SaaS, Digital Banking, FinTech platforms, or Core Banking Systems (CBS).Understanding of integrations with CRM, LOS, LMS, KYC, AML, Risk Scoring, and third-party banking systems.Exposure to global banking markets (U.S., Europe).Ability to work with cross-functional global teams and time zones.
