Key Responsibilities

• Oversees the execution of functional standards and best practices and provide technical assistance to the members of their Chapter.
• Responsible for the quality of the code repository where applicable.
• Acts as a conduit for the wider domain strategy, for example technical standards.
• Prioritises and makes available capacity for technical debt.
• This role is around capability building, it is not to own applications or delivery.
• Design and develop advanced iOS applications for smartphones and tablets, from concept to deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
• Translate design specifications and wireframes into high-quality code, ensuring compatibility across multiple devices and screen sizes.
• Implement best practices for mobile application development, including code optimization, performance tuning, security and memory management.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, following coding standards and architectural principles.
• Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior team members to ensure code quality and consistency.
• Optimize application performance, reliability, and security through continuous testing, debugging, and refactoring.
• Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in iOS development, sharing knowledge and insights with the team.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate mobile applications with server-side APIs and services.
• Support the app release process, including beta testing, app store submissions, and version control.
