Head – Yield Management System

Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components.

Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities :

1. Lead the Yield Management System team for a 300mm Wafer Fab.

2. Partner with Digital / IT team for design and development of the Yield Management software and Database

3. Design and create a Data Integration framework that collects data from different sources. (E-test, Defect Inspection, Inline Metrology, Sort)

4. Yield Analysis Tools : Develop algorithms for data analysis to enable root cause understanding and yield optimization

5. Partner with PI / YE, CFM teams and vendors to enable continuous system improvements

6. Automation & Reporting : Generate Automated yield reports.

7. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work with Product Engineering and Process Integration teams to get requirements to build the software to support yield management.

8. Ensure reliability and scalability of the software for high volume data.

9. Present updates to internal and customer senior executives.

10. Travel as required.

Qualifications :

1. Minimum Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent; Advanced degree preferred

2. Experience in data analysis, failure / defect analysis and yield improvement

3. Strong understanding of device physics, process integration, yield improvement, failure mechanisms

4. Familiarity with statistical techniques and data visualization techniques

5. Familiarity with operations dashboards

6. Familiarity with process modules and metrology / defect inspection tools

7. Familiarity with AI / ML basics

8. Innovation mindset

Desired Experience :

1. 10+ years’ experience in the semiconductor industry with specific experience in E-test / Wafer Sort

2. Proven structured problem-solving skills using 8D and other methods

3. Has programmed and managed E-test systems
