About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Azure Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions using Microsoft Azure cloud services. You will work closely with Data Architects, Business Analysts, and Data Scientists to create robust data architectures that support advanced analytics and reporting. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Azure data services, modern data Lakehouse / warehouse architectures, and BI tools, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and secure data products. This role offers an excellent opportunity to lead technical projects, influence data strategy, and contribute to innovative data-driven solutions that impact business decisions.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess a strong educational background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields, complemented by 5-15 years of professional experience in data engineering or related roles. Certifications such as Microsoft Certified : Azure Data Fundamentals (DP-900), Azure Fabric Associate (DP-600), or other relevant Azure certifications are preferred. Proficiency in Azure services such as Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, ADLS Gen2, and Azure SQL is essential. Additionally, experience with programming languages like PySpark, Scala, C#, and SQL is required. Familiarity with BI tools like Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps, along with knowledge of databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, and Snowflake, will be advantageous. Strong communication skills, leadership abilities, and stakeholder management experience are also critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and architectures using Azure data services such as Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, and ADLS Gen2.
• Lead the development of data models, ETL / ELT processes, and data integration workflows to ensure data quality, consistency, and security.
• Collaborate with Data Architects and Data Scientists to translate business requirements into technical solutions that support analytics and reporting.
• Implement best practices for performance tuning, data governance, and security across all data platforms.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data architecture, pipelines, and workflows to ensure transparency and maintainability.
• Work with BI teams to create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and other visualization tools.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in cloud data engineering and analytics technologies.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
