Job Purpose :
To lead and manage the training strategy for the Loan business (e.g., MSME, Business Loans, Housing Loans, Gold Loans, Vehicle Loans, etc.) across the bank. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring learning initiatives that enhance sales productivity, product knowledge, compliance, credit underwriting skills, and customer service excellence in the lending vertical.
Key Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute a comprehensive training strategy aligned with business goals for all asset-related products.
- Collaborate with business heads to identify competency gaps and learning needs across various levels of the lending function.
Program Development
Design customized training programs for field staff, credit officers, risk managers, and relationship managers.Create learning paths for onboarding, skill development, sales effectiveness, credit underwriting, and leadership development in the assets domain.Ensure content is updated with changes in regulatory guidelines, internal credit policy, and market practices.Training Delivery & Execution
Oversee the delivery of training across branches and regions through zonal / area trainers or external partners.Implement blended learning methods (classroom, e-learning, on-the-job training, etc.) to suit frontline and back-end staff.Drive train-the-trainer programs to build internal training capability.Monitoring & Evaluation
Define KPIs for training effectiveness including knowledge retention, behavior change, and business impact (e.g., disbursal growth, TAT improvement, reduction in delinquencies).Use feedback, assessments, and performance metrics to improve training interventions continuously.Team Management
Lead and mentor a team of asset trainers across regions.Build a culture of continuous learning and capability building within the team.Stakeholder Engagement
Liaise closely with Product, Credit, Risk, Compliance, and Business teams to ensure alignment.Partner with external training vendors and consultants when required.Qualifications & Experience :
Graduate / Postgraduate in any discipline (MBA / PGDM preferred).1220 years of experience in BFSI, with at least 5 years in training & development, specifically in the loans / asset products domain.Deep understanding of retail lending products, credit processes, and regulatory frameworks.Key Skills & Competencies :
Strong knowledge of MSME, housing, or secured / unsecured loan products.Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.Ability to design learning interventions with measurable business outcomes.Leadership and team-building capabilities.Data-driven approach to training effectiveness and ROI measurement.Preferred Background :
