Description and Summary

Fundfy is a US-based Al-driven startup that empowers innovators by connecting them with capital to build something people actually want.

We're seeking a highly skilled Tech Lead to join our core engineering team and take full ownership of our product architecture and technical execution. You'll lead a team of 6-8 developers, set engineering standards, and ensure high-quality, well-tested, and scalable code is shipped to production.

The ideal candidate will have strong debugging skills, deep understanding of system design, and experience guiding teams through complex development cycles.

You'll collaborate directly with the founding team to architect solutions, maintain production reliability, and continuously improve code quality, performance, and deployment pipelines. This is a full-time role starting on November 20, 2025.

Integrations : Stripe Connect, Plaid, Persona, AWS Rekognition, HelloSign, OpenAl API

Authentication & Security : JWT, Cookies, Sessions, TLS 1.3, SOC 2, GDPR

DevOps & Tooling : Git, GitHub Actions, CI / CD pipelines, Node Cron, background jobs, WebSockets (Socket.IO),Redis

Monitoring : Winston, Morgan, AWS CloudWatch

Roles and Responsibilities

Take full ownership of end-to-end system architecture across frontend, backend, and infrastructure.

Lead, mentor, and guide a team of 6-8 developers, ensuring smooth collaboration and delivery.

Review and enforce code quality, scalability, and security standards across all services.

Drive production-ready deployments with deep attention to performance, reliability, and debugging.

Oversee JWT and session management, ensuring secure token rotation and cookie authentication flows.

Architect and optimize WebSocket infrastructure for live events, messaging, and real-time notifications.

Design and maintain secure REST APIs, middleware layers, and multi-role authorization systems.

Analyze and debug complex database, API, and network issues using Prisma, PostgreSQL, and logging tools (Winston, Morgan).

Collaborate with founders to define the technical roadmap and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Manage AWS resources (S3, CloudFront, Lambda, etc.), signed URLs, and CDN caching / invalidation strategies.

Supervise DevOps processes - background jobs, queue management, CI / CD pipelines, and environment stability.

Conduct regular code reviews, performance audits, and architectural refactors for long-term scalability.

Ensure data protection, encryption, and compliance with GDPR / SOC 2 standards.

Required Technical Skills

Strong command over Node.js, Express.js, and API architecture.

Deep understanding of JWT authentication, session cookies, and security best practices.

Expertise in WebSockets (Socket.IO) - clustering, Redis adapters, and load balancing.

Experience with Next.js 15 / React 19, TailwindCSS, and frontend state management (Zustand, Context API).

Advanced proficiency in PostgreSQL + Prisma ORM, query optimization, and schema design.

Hands-on knowledge of AWS (S3, CloudFront, SK 3) and CDN invalidation.

Experience integrating Plaid, Stripe Connect, Persona, AWS Rekognition, and HelloSign APIs.
