The opportunity

Join our Enterprise Risk team as Senior Manager , where you’ll take the lead role in shaping and embedding Bupa’s Risk Culture Framework and Integrated Management System (IMS) across APAC.

As a hybrid permanent position at Bupa, this role offers flexible working arrangements and may be based from Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney offices.

Risk Culture  You will lead the development, coordination, and continuous enhancement of the APAC Risk Culture Strategy and Framework. You will oversee the design and delivery of risk culture assessments, surveys, and performance indicators, providing expert analysis and actionable insights to strengthen enterprise risk management across the region. This role is accountable for monitoring progress, reporting to senior leadership and boards, and ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and industry best practices to embed a strong and sustainable risk culture.

Process Governance (IMS)  You will champion the IMS across APAC — driving collaboration, consistency, and continuous improvement. In this role, you’ll bring people together through the IMS Community of Practice, build awareness and capability, and use insights to enhance performance and compliance. You’ll play a key part in shaping how we work, ensuring our risk and quality practices keep pace with a fast-changing world.

About you

• Demonstrated experience in providing guidance on risk management strategies while facilitating organisational cultural change to create a dynamic risk management mindset.
• Hands on experience in first / second line risk management within leading financial services or insurance firms.
• Proven history collaborating, stakeholder engagement and influencing across the enterprise to drive business outcomes, with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Analytical and strategic thinking with strong problem-solving skills to analyse and interpret complex regulatory frameworks and apply them effectively with data to drive practical, actionable and value-adding business decisions.
• Advanced capability in process mapping and performance reporting, with proficiency in Visio (or similar) and data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI).
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise competing deadlines.
• Experience in developing and implementing cultural change or risk management frameworks is highly desirable.
