Assistant Manager

Business Vertical : Retail Asset Collections Location : Kolkata / Bhubaneshwar / Cuttack / Guwahati / Dibrugarh / Patna / Jamshedpur / Siliguri Role Objective To manage and drive collections for Retail Asset products across secured and unsecured portfolios, ensuring effective recovery of overdue accounts in Pre-NPA and NPA stages. The role will focus on minimizing delinquency, optimizing recovery efficiency, and maintaining portfolio quality through strategic, compliant, and customer-centric collection practices. Portfolio Management : 1)Manage Collection and Recovery activities for both secured and Unsecured Loans. Monitor and control delinquency levels across Pre- NPA and NPA buckets. 2)Analyze portfolio trends to identify risk areas and initiate corrective actions. Pre-NPA & NPA- Management : 1) Drive preventive collections and early resolution strategies to avoid slippages to NPA 2) Manage end to end NPA accounts with structured recovery and settlement approaches. 3) Liase with legal teams for initiating and tracking recovery actions under SARFAESI, Lok Adalats and legal notices Team & Agency Management : 1) Lead and motivate an on-roll collection team and manage outsourced recovery agencies. 2) Ensure adherence to collection code of contact, fair practices and RBI guidelines 3) Conduct periodic performance reviews of team members and agencies 4) Impact regular training to teams / agencies on collection strategies and compliance standards. Process & Compliance : 1) Ensure all collection activities comply with internal policies, regulatory norms and audit requirements. 2) Maintain proper documentation ad MIS for all accounts handled. Support audits, internal reviews, and policy updates related to collections. 3) Ensure Zero Tolerance for mis- selling, mis conduct or customer harassment. MIS & Reporting : 1) Generate and analyze daily, weekly and monthly MIS on collection performance. 2) Track key metrics like DPD reduction, roll rates and resolution effectiveness. 3) Present collection insights and recovery trends to senior management Key Skills and Competencies : 1) Strong knowledge of Retail Asset products and Collection lifecycle 2) Experience in NPA resolution, legal recoveries and pre-delinquency control 3) Proficient in MS Excel, MIS Reporting and collection analytics. Education Qualification : 1) Graduate or Post Graduate degree 2) Minimum 7-10 years of experience in retail asset collection, including exposure to both secured and unsecured portfolios with significant experience in NPA and Pre- NPA management.
