JOB SUMMARY :

The Assistant Professor in Physiotherapy is responsible for supporting the academic mission

of the university through teaching, research, clinical training, and service. The role requires a

blend of subject expertise, teaching innovation, and student mentorship to enhance academic

and clinical competencies within the physiotherapy program. The position contributes to

departmental growth, collaborative research, and community engagement, fostering a culture

of excellence and innovation in physiotherapy education.

Eligibility Criteria (As per NCAHP Guidelines) :

Educational Qualification :

 Essential : Master’s Degree in Physiotherapy (MPT) from a recognized university

with specialization in any clinical / academic area.

 Desirable : PhD in Physiotherapy or ongoing doctoral work (as per university norms).

Experience :

 Minimum of 0 – 3 years of teaching / clinical experience post-MPT in a recognized

institution or hospital.

 Publications in indexed / national / international journals will be preferred.

Registration : (Desirable)

Must be registered with the State Council of Physiotherapy or recognized professional

body as per NCAHP norms or MIAP
