Role Description
Job Description – Project Development Manager (Solar EPC / Utility Scale & C&I)
We are seeking a hands-on Project Development Manager with proven experience in end-to-end solar project development for Utility-Scale & C&I clients. The role requires strong regulatory understanding, on-ground execution capability, and the ability to independently drive projects from concept to commissioning.
Key Responsibilities :
Secure load flow / feasibility approvals from substations and DISCOMs for utility-scale and C&I open access projects.
Deep understanding of Green Open Access policies, state regulations, banking / wheeling rules, and their practical implementation.
Identify legally clear, dispute-free land (purchase or long-term lease), conduct due-diligence, and coordinate with land aggregators / local authorities.
Identify and evaluate potential offtakers (C&I), prepare proposals, and support commercial negotiation & closure.
Oversee development progress including survey, design inputs, permits, approvals, and statutory clearances until EPC handover.
Track and develop opportunities under PM-KUSUM, state solar schemes, and upcoming government programs.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with DISCOMs, SLDCs, developers, landowners, consultants, and government bodies.
Prepare concise project reports, risk assessments, and management updates.
Qualifications
Requirements :
Minimum 3–7 years of proven experience in solar project development (utility / C&I / open access).
Strong knowledge of regulations, land processes, and grid approvals—must be able to independently drive outcomes.

Excellent communication, documentation, stakeholder handling, and on-ground negotiation skills.
Willingness to travel extensively.
