Venture Capital Legal Associate

We at Goyel & Goyal (Formerly JKGA Law Chambers) (www.Goyallaw.In) are looking to hire 1 associate with a minimum of 2 years of PQE for its corporate and transactions team based in Bengaluru.

The areas of practice of the associate would be : VC, and / or General Corporate Advisory.

The firm regularly advises venture funds and high growth companies in their investment transactions, fintech and frontier tech companies on regulatory and product compliance and RBI requirements, as well as advising existing and aspiring fund managers on licensing / registration requirements of alternative investment funds, portfolio managers, and other regulated intermediaries. The candidates will be well remunerated and will have a high growth trajectory with a fast growing team.

Job Description :

1. Drafting, reviewing and negotiation investment documentation on behalf of company / investor clients

2. Conducting legal due diligence on investee companies

3. Research on various regulatory positions undertaken by RBI and SEBI

4. General corporate advisory and commercial contract review.

Candidate Requirements :

• Candidates should have strong attention to detail and a keen interest in venture capital and regulatory landscape in India. Past exposure to fund formation is ideal but not a must have.
• Minimum of 2 years of PQE in corporate advisory, and / or VC transactions.
