2. Job Summary
The Engineering Manager will lead a high-performing engineering team that designs, develops, and delivers scalable platforms supporting clinical insights and modern healthcare workflows. You will provide technical vision, build team capability, guide execution across distributed teams, and ensure delivery of high-quality solutions used by thousands of clinicians worldwide. The role requires a seasoned technical leader who thrives in complex product environments, drives engineering excellence, and fosters continuous improvement.
3. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and elevate a team of engineers to deliver highly scalable, high-quality clinical insight platforms.
- Provide technical direction and architectural guidance for product development and enhancement initiatives.
- Build team capacity, hire top-tier talent, and create an environment that supports learning, collaboration, and innovation.
- Drive end-to-end execution of engineering projects, ensuring on-time delivery of defect-free releases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners including senior engineers, product managers, program managers, and leadership to define and deliver customer-centric solutions.
- Lead sprint planning, ensure sprint commitments are met, and oversee operational readiness and system availability.
- Manage performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support career growth of team members.
- Participate in operational reviews, address production concerns, and implement processes to maintain system reliability and uptime.
- Raise the quality bar through adoption of best practices, code reviews, automation, and strong engineering processes.
- Engage with customers and stakeholders to understand requirements, provide clarity, and ensure customer success.
4. Qualifications & Skills
Mandatory
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.12+ years of software industry experience with at least 3+ years in Engineering Management.5+ years of senior management experience leading agile, high-performing teams.Proven expertise in designing, developing, and delivering scalable, complex software platforms.Strong experience with JavaScript frameworks (ReactJS preferred) and web technologies.Hands-on experience building RESTful services and distributed systems.Understanding of Big Data and database concepts : ETL, Hadoop ecosystem, structured data, SQL schemas, and query design.Working knowledge of DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Kubernetes, Spinnaker, etc.Experience with cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).Strong communication skills with the ability to set vision, convey expectations, and influence across functions.Demonstrated success in hiring, developing, and retaining engineering talent.Experience with operationalizing large-scale customer-facing products and processes.Good-to-Have
Experience in healthcare platforms, clinical systems, or data-intensive healthcare technologies.Exposure to large-scale distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures.Familiarity with observability tools, automation frameworks, and modern DevOps practices.Prior experience working with globally distributed teams.
