Deputy Manager / Manager – SCM Formulations (Biotechnology & Capital Items Procurement Specialist)

Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SCM Capital Items Procurement Specialist with expertise in both Formulation and Biotechnology sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procuring key capital items such as

Fermenters, Bioreactors, Centrifuge, Incubators, Filtration systems, Mixing vessels, Injectable lines, Lyophilizers, Autoclaves , Boilers, Chillers and biotechnology plant spares / consumables.

Responsibilities

Manage the procurement of critical capital equipment for both Formulation and Biotechnology sectors.

Lead sourcing, purchasing, and ensure timely delivery of machinery and equipment.

Negotiate favorable pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers and vendors.

Oversee procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.

Handle the financial management aspect of capital expenditures, including budgeting and cost control.

Collaborate with internal teams to understand equipment requirements and ensure on-time procurement.

Ensure that equipment meets project timelines, quality standards, and organizational needs.

Qualifications

B.Tech / M Sc

10 to 15 years of experience in procurement, particularly within pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
