• Ability to work with global teams across manufacturing, R&D, and quality functions.Position Summary : The Technical Solutions Manager will support Lumileds’ Automotive and General Illumination customers in India by providing technical expertise, quality support, and design-in guidance. This role is critical to ensuring seamless integration of Lumileds LED products in customer applications, addressing quality / process inquiries, driving problem resolution, and strengthening customer relationships to secure long-term business growth.This is a customer-facing technical leadership role requiring deep automotive quality knowledge, hands-on engineering skills, and excellent coordination with internal global teams.What You Will Do :
• Act as the primary technical interface for customers’ design teams, product developmentengineers, and quality teams.
• Support Automotive Lighting and General Illumination OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, andSetmakers in integrating Lumileds products.
• Promote Lumileds solutions, identify application opportunities, and support new businessdevelopment.
• Address customer queries related to FMEA, DVPR, Safe Launch Plan, Control Plan, PPAP,and change management.
• Manage communication between customers and Lumileds’ global engineering,manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Analyze quality trends, identify root causes, and drive corrective & preventive actions(CAPA).
• Support customer audits (IATF16949, ISO9001) and internal QMS initiatives.
• Monitor and manage Product Change Notifications (PCN) and Product TerminationNotices (PTN).
• Support customer Safe Launch and early-life production activities.
• Represent the customer’s voice internally to ensure product performance and qualityreliability.
• Prepare and present technical documentation, reports, and failure analyses.What You Will Bring (Required Qualifications) :
• Minimum 15 years of experience in : o Automotive Lighting New Product Developmento Production Operations / Quality Control / Supplier Quality Engineeringo Technical problem-solving, quality data analysis, and customer issue resolution
• Strong understanding of automotive quality systems including : o FMEA, DVPR, CP, SLP, PPAP, 8D, RCA methodologies
• Proven experience executing cross-functional quality improvement projects
• Experience handling customer audits and quality documentation
• Knowledge of LED technologies and automotive lighting system design
• Experience working with India-based setmakers such as Lumax, Varroc, Fiem, SL, Neolite,or OEMs such as TVS, Hero, Suzuki, Toyota, Tata Motors, Mahindra, etc.
• Ability to work independently and provide technical consultative support
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skillsEducation (Minimum Level)
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or relatedfields).Field of Study :
• Engineering (Electronics / Electrical / Mechanical or related technical discipline).Years of Experience (Minimum) :
• 10+ years in Automotive Lighting / Technical Quality / New Product Development roles.Preferred Qualifications :
• Experience in LED component selection and reliability evaluation.
• Experience in global multi-site coordination (manufacturing / QA / R&D).
• Knowledge of IATF16949, ISO9001, APQP, and VDA standards.
• Prior experience in customer-facing technical sales support roles.
