Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Cost & Management Accountant (CMA) with 5–10 years of proven expertise in cost management, budgeting, financial planning, and compliance. This role is critical in driving cost efficiency, ensuring profitability, and supporting decision-making at both operational and strategic levels.

Key Responsibilities

Costing & Analysis

Prepare product-wise profitability analysis and gross margin reports.

Develop monthly cost sheets, standard costing, and inventory valuations (raw material, packing material, semi-finished, and finished goods).

Analyze manufacturing costs and compare actual costs with standard costs.

Collect and analyze historical cost data for budgeting and forecasting.

Financial Reporting & MIS

Manage monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual financial closing processes.

Prepare and analyze MIS reports for management decision-making.

Ensure accurate reconciliations of accounts, journal entries, and balance sheets.

Coordinate with auditors (internal & statutory) and handle audit queries.

Audit & Compliance

Prepare cost audit reports as per the Cost Audit Report Rule, 2011 .

Maintain cost records and ensure adherence to Cost Accounting Standards.

Present a fair and true financial view of the company in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Coordination & Support

Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather cost data.

Support management in planning, organizing, and scheduling project costs.

Interact with auditors, vendors, subcontractors, and team members for financial accuracy.

Assist in treasury management, payroll, accounts payable, and receivable functions.

Process Improvement

Evaluate financial data to improve accuracy and completeness.

Recommend cost control measures and support performance improvement initiatives.

Provide insights on turnover, profitability, and expenditure to management.

Qualifications & Skills

CMA / ICWA qualified (or equivalent).

5-10 years of experience in costing, accounting, audit, and financial reporting .

Strong knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards and Cost Audit requirements.

Proficiency in financial software, SAP / ERP systems, and MS Excel.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
