Legal and Compliance Specialist

About the Role :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal Executive with experience or understanding of the US staffing and recruiting industry . The role involves handling contracts, compliance, and documentation for our clients, vendors, and consultants based in the United States. The ideal candidate will ensure that all agreements and legal processes align with corporate policies and US labor laws.

Key Responsibilities :

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including MSAs (Master Service Agreements), SOWs (Statement of Work), NDAs (Non-Disclosure Agreements), subcontractor agreements, and consultant agreements .
• Coordinate with internal teams (HR, Finance, Operations, Sales, and Recruitment) to ensure legal compliance across all functions.
• Liaise with external counsel or legal advisors on contract disputes or compliance-related queries.
• Maintain a centralized database of all agreements, ensuring renewal timelines and versions are tracked properly.
• Review client and vendor contracts for risk mitigation, indemnity, non-compete, confidentiality, and termination clauses.
• Ensure compliance with US labor laws , employment classification (W2, 1099, C2C) , and state-specific regulations relevant to staffing operations.
• Support audits and due diligence processes as required.
• Assist in implementing internal compliance policies and procedures for data privacy and employment law.
• Provide legal insights and training to internal teams on contract obligations and compliance best practices.
