AWS Infrastructure Engineer

The AWS Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing building deploying and maintaining secure scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services AWS This role supports application teams automates infrastructure ensures high availability and enforces best practices for cloud operations security and performanceKey ResponsibilitiesCloud Infrastructure Design ArchitectureDesign and implement cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS services EC2 VPC S3 IAM RDS Lambda ECS EKS etcBuild and maintain secure scalable network architectures including VPCs subnets routing load balancers and security groupsParticipate in architecture reviews and recommend best practices for cloud adoptionInfrastructure Automation IaCDevelop and manage Infrastructure as Code IaC using Terraform CloudFormation or AWS CDKAutomate provisioning configuration and application deployments via CI CD pipelinesOptimize infrastructure automation to support elasticity scalability and rapid deploymentsOperations Monitoring PerformanceImplement monitoring logging and alerting with AWS CloudWatch CloudTrail ELK Prometheus Grafana or equivalent toolsMaintain highly available systems with appropriate uptime failover and disaster recovery strategiesTroubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues and proactively optimize for performance and cost efficiencySecurity ComplianceImplement AWS security best practices including IAM policies KMS WAF GuardDuty and Secrets ManagerConduct regular security audits patching and compliance checks SOC2 ISO HIPAA as requiredEnsure robust identity access and vulnerability management processesCollaboration SupportPartner with DevOps SRE Development and Product teams to support cloud native applicationsProvide guidance on AWS standards governance reliability and cost optimizationParticipate in on call rotations and incident management activitiesRequired Skills QualificationsBachelor s degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field3 7 years of hands on experience in AWS infrastructure engineering or cloud administrationStrong experience with core AWS servicesEC2 VPC IAM S3 RDS Aurora CloudFront CloudWatch Lambda ALB NLB SNS SQS ECS EKSProficiency with IaC tools Terraform CloudFormation or AWS CDKExperience with Linux administration shell scripting and core networking fundamentalsHands on experience with CI CD tools Jenkins GitLab CI GitHub Actions AWS CodePipelineSolid understanding of cloud security architecture governance and best practicesAWS
