Primary English Teacher for CBSE School

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher (PRT) to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching Grades I to V and implementing the CBSE curriculum using creative, engaging, and student centered methodologies. The teacher must foster a positive classroom environment and focus on the holistic development of young learners.

Key Responsibilities

Teach core subjects (English, Math, EVS etc.) to Grades I–V following the CBSE curriculum.

Prepare and deliver lesson plans , learning materials, and activities appropriate for primary students.

Create a nurturing classroom environment that promotes curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking .

Conduct and assess formative and summative assessments as per CBSE standards.

Maintain student records , track academic progress, and provide regular feedback to parents.

Encourage student participation in co-curricular activities, competitions, and school programs .

Promote values education, life skills, and social-emotional learning .

Use technology and digital resources (smart boards, educational apps, etc.) to enhance learning.

Collaborate with other teachers to develop cross-curricular and integrated learning experiences .

Attend staff meetings, workshops, training sessions , and contribute to school events and planning.

Qualifications & Skills

Educational Qualification :

Graduation in any discipline + D.El.Ed / B.Ed – Mandatory

Experience

CTET (Paper I) qualified – Preferred

Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a CBSE-affiliated school preferred.

Skills

Strong command of the English language (spoken and written).

Excellent classroom management and child engagement skills.

Familiarity with CBSE primary pedagogy, NEP 2020 guidelines , and activity-based learning .

Basic proficiency with computers, MS Office , and digital teaching tools .

Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with young children.
