Sr Project Engineer

Job Description

The DFX Engineer will lead the integration of Design-for-X principles into Weatherford's product development lifecycle, ensuring that new designs are optimized across manufacturing, supply chain, reliability, and serviceability dimensions. This role is critical to enhancing product performance, reducing lifecycle costs, and accelerating time-to-market for Weatherford's global portfolio.

Incorporate hazard identification and risk mitigation strategies early in the design phase to meet HSE and regulatory standards

Skills And Competencies

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 12 years of relevant engineering experience in product design and development, preferably in oilfield services or industrial equipment.

Proven expertise in applying DFX methodologies across complex engineering projects.

Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., Creo, Pro / E), PLM systems (e.g., Windchill), and reliability analysis software.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain dynamics, and reliability engineering

Preferred

Master's or Ph.D. degree in Engineering or a related technical field.

Familiarity with downhole tools, drilling systems, Well completion equipment, would be beneficial.

Process & Quality Systems : Experience with quality frameworks and methodologies such as ISO 9001 in an engineering context. Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Engineering, or continuous improvement programs in product development is desirable.

A record of innovation evidenced by patents, technical publications, or successful implementation of new technologies in products is valued.
