Software Development Engineer, Live Playback (Prime Video)

The team is chartered to design large scale systems to power the Prime Video viewed by a massive audience daily and you will help bring customers streaming video view experience to a new level. You will develop the service to run on Amazons cloud computing infrastructure (AWS) and have opportunities to interact with teams inside and outside the organization plus to work on a variety of video devices such as the Kindle Fire Fire TV Fire phone game consoles Internet-connected TVs BD Players set-top-boxes and mobile devices.

You will need to have an established background in developing customer-facing experiences a strong technical ability great communication skills a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment a high level of creativity great analytical reasoning skills and of course a passion for TV and movies.

• 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 3 years of Video Games Industry (supporting title Development Release or Live Ops) experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
• Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
