Role Overview :
The AWS Alliance Manager is responsible for establishing, nurturing, and expanding the organization’s strategic partnership with Amazon Web Services (AWS) . This role plays a critical part in driving joint go-to-market initiatives, accelerating cloud business growth, and strengthening the company’s position within the AWS partner ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between internal teams and AWS stakeholders, developing strategies that align with both organizations’ goals. They will leverage AWS Marketplace, APN Programs, and Co-Sell initiatives to create mutual value, enhance visibility, and drive measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute a joint business plan with AWS focused on revenue growth, customer success, and mutual objectives.
- Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with AWS Partner Account Managers, Solution Architects, and Marketing Teams .
- Identify, develop, and manage co-selling and co-marketing initiatives with AWS.
- Drive achievement of AWS partner tier advancement , certifications, and competencies.
- Track, analyse, and report on alliance performance metrics , including pipeline health, joint wins, and marketing ROI.
- Collaborate with internal sales, pre-sales, and technical delivery teams to build AWS-based solutions and proposals.
- Coordinate participation in AWS events, webinars, sponsorships , and partner programs.
- Stay informed about AWS product updates, new services, partner incentives, and marketplace opportunities .
- Partner with marketing teams to create joint case studies, success stories, and promotional materials highlighting AWS partnership success.
- Champion AWS best practices and enablement initiatives across the organization.
Required Skills and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field .6+ years of experience in cloud partnerships, alliances, or channel management, with a strong focus on AWS.In-depth understanding of the AWS Partner Network (APN) , AWS Marketplace, and co-sell engagement models.Proven track record of driving joint revenue growth and managing successful cloud alliances.Strong relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills .Strategic thinker with the ability to execute operationally and influence cross-functional teams.Familiarity with enterprise cloud sales cycles, partner marketing , and solution development.Preferred Qualifications :
AWS Partner Accreditation or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification.Experience working with System Integrators (SIs) or technology consulting firms .Proficiency in using CRM and partner management tools such as Salesforce and PRM systems.Demonstrated success as a Strategic Alliance Manager , helping ISVs and Cloud Partners accelerate growth via AWS Marketplace, APN Programs, and Co-Sell initiatives .
