POSITION : Head of Accounts and Product Development
LOCATION : Mumbai, India
SALARY : 5,500 USD Net + Accommodation + Transport
OVERVIEW :
Our client is seeking an accomplished senior leader to oversee Global Accounts Operations and Product Development. This role will drive strategic account servicing for international clients, lead product development initiatives, and ensure exceptional customer experience across all operational areas . The ideal professional will be strong in global account handling, product development, and cross-functional leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Global Accounts Operations
- Serve as the primary liaison for key international accounts, ensuring smooth communication and coordinated account management.
- Support global rollouts by aligning processes and maintaining consistency across regions.
- Strengthen collaboration between Product Development, Sales, and other internal teams to optimize workflow and enhance service levels.
- Share relevant market and customer insights with internal sales teams to support better program execution.
Product Development
Oversee the full development cycle of labels, packaging, and related products based on required specifications.Work closely with internal departments to ensure timely development, approval, and commercial production of new items.Identify and resolve technical challenges related to materials, design, production methods, or product performance.Manage costing for new developments and negotiate pricing with suppliers.Ensure performance and quality targets are achieved during new development runs.Customer Service Leadership
Develop and execute customer service strategies that improve satisfaction and strengthen long-term client relationships.Lead and mentor a high-performing customer service team to maintain excellent service standards.Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their needs and ensuring expectations are met.Oversee order management to ensure accuracy and timely fulfilment.Identify gaps in customer service operations and drive process improvements or automation where required.Work with Quality Assurance to ensure customer requirements and quality benchmarks are consistently met.Track and analyse customer service metrics and prepare reports for management.PRE-REQUISITES :
Master’s degree preferred, ideally in Business Administration or a related field.Minimum 15 years in key account management, merchandising, or product development within printing, packaging, apparel or a related industry, with at least 10 years in a managerial position.Strong knowledge of printing / packaging operations, materials, and development processes.Proficient in CRM platforms and MS Office applications.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with global stakeholders.Proven leadership capabilities with a track record of driving customer satisfaction.Must be based in or willing to relocate to Mumbai .
