Legal and Compliance Advisor

ROLE : The In-House Corporate legal counsel will act as a trusted legal advisor across the company. The role involves building a legally sound HR framework and providing end-to-end corporate & commercial legal support on corporate governance, and guiding day-to-day commercial decisions.

You will work closely with the General Counsel (Chief Legal Officer) and department heads and align legal practices with business needs, while also reporting on any legal violations or ongoing legal issues, providing timely alerts and follow-ups to leadership.

Mandatory Experience

• Labour & HR legal (core challenge) :
• Take a part in designing and implementing the employment lifecycle : offers, onboarding, probation, confirmations, exits (resignations & terminations), and full & final settlements.
• Draft / maintain templates : Offer, Employment / Consulting, Internship, NDA / PIIA, Non-solicit / Non-compete (where enforceable), MSA / SOW for tutors and vendors.
• Roll out policies : Code of Conduct, POSH (constitute IC;

annual filings), Leave & Attendance, Disciplinary, IT / Device & Acceptable Use, Remote-work / Hybrid, Whistleblower, Grievance.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS :

proficiency in Tamil and Hindi is highly desirable for coordination with local authorities and stakeholders.
