Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Taxation Specialist to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Indian taxation, specifically with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in GST compliance and Direct Taxation. You will play a critical role in ensuring tax compliance for the firm and assisting our diverse clientele with their tax planning and filing needs.

Key Responsibilities

Direct Taxation (Income Tax) :

Preparation and filing of Income Tax Returns (ITR) for individuals, HUFs, and firms.

Calculation and filing of TDS returns and handling TDS payments.

Assisting in tax planning strategies for clients (including NRIs) to optimize tax liabilities legally.

GST Compliance :

End-to-end handling of GST compliance, including monthly / quarterly return filings (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.).

Reconciliation of GSTR-2A / 2B with books of accounts.

Handling GST registrations and cancellations if required.

Staying updated on the latest GST notifications and circulars.

Advisory & Support :

Resolving queries related to Indian taxation for clients.

Liaising with tax authorities and handling notices, scrutinies, or assessments under the guidance of senior management.

Maintain accurate tax records and ensure all statutory deadlines are met.

Key Requirements

Experience : Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience in a taxation role (CA Firm or Corporate experience preferred).

Education : Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B. Com) or higher. CA Inter / CMA Inter candidates will have an added advantage.

Technical Skills :

In-depth knowledge of GST and Income Tax Act .

Proficiency in Tally Prime / ERP , MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), and Tax Filing Software (e.g., CompuTax, Winman, or similar).

Experience navigating the GST and Income Tax government portals.

Soft Skills :

Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

Ability to work independently in an onsite environment.

Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
