Automotive Security Engineer

Role Overview

We’re seeking a highly skilled professional with strong, practical expertise in PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) and Key Management Systems — particularly in secure, connected, or automotive environments. The role involves technical delivery and guided knowledge transfer over a short, two-week engagement focused on applied implementation.

Core Technical Skills

• Deep hands-on experience with PKI architecture – CA / Sub-CA hierarchy, certificate lifecycle, CRL / OCSP configuration.
• Expertise with OpenSSL, EJBCA, SoftHSM, or OpenXPKI.
• Strong understanding of AWS KMS, CloudHSM, IAM, and encryption key rotation policies.
• Ability to integrate PKI workflows with cloud and IoT / automotive systems (mTLS, SecOC, ECU-to-cloud security).
• Working knowledge of Python automation using boto3, hashlib, and related libraries.
• Familiarity with TLS / mTLS, secure communication protocols, and Wireshark for message analysis.
• Awareness of ISO 21434, UNECE R155, or AUTOSAR Security Framework is a plus.
