The New Indians seeks a seasoned, institutionally Professional Legal Editor to take full responsibility for of our Global Flagship show, May It Please My Lords. This is a leadership-critical position designed for a professional who understands the gravitas of constitutional institutions and the strategic sensitivities associated with engaging sitting and former Supreme Court Judges, global policymakers, and international dignitaries.
The Legal Editor will carry complete responsibility for the show , from coordinating with former and sitting Supreme Court Judges and international dignitaries to driving the show's digital performance across platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- 1. Guest Curation / Coordination and High-Level Coordination
- Independently identify, approach, and secure participation from former and sitting Supreme Court Judges, International activists, and global thought leaders.
- Ensure every interaction upholds the dignity and ethos associated with the show.
- 2. Editorial Leadership
- Drive the editorial framework of the show with seriousness, legal depth, and narrative clarity.
- Oversee research, briefing documents, question modules, and issue-framing.
- Safeguard the constitutional and intellectual integrity that defines May It Please My Lords.
- 3. Show Management and Execution
- Supervise end-to-end production cycles, from conceptual research to final editorial approval.
- Coordinate seamlessly with production, scripting, design, and digital teams to maintain documentary-grade quality.
- Resolve real-time challenges without compromising editorial discipline or brand equity.
- 4. Digital and Social Media Influence
- Convert episodes into high-retention shorts, narrative snippets, explainers, and promotional assets.
- Monitor analytics, enhance audience engagement, and strengthen thought-leadership visibility.
- Full-spectrum leadership of the show, including editorial control, guest curation, research oversight, and production alignment.
- Direct coordination with former and sitting Supreme Court Judges , International dignitaries, global institutions, and high-level authorities.
- Manage all protocol-driven communication with embassies, academic bodies, and policy stakeholders.
- Own the research depth, briefing notes, episode themes, and question frameworks.
- Drive the show’s digital performance across platforms, ensuring high engagement, retention, and visibility.
- Oversee the content lifecycle from conceptualisation to final publication with uncompromising editorial discipline.

Required Profile
Minimum 10–12 years of rigorous, proven experience in Legal Journalism , ideally with Reputed leading national or international media organisations.Demonstrated access to senior judicial, legal, and policy circles.High proficiency Legal Journalism.Strong editorial judgement, research depth, and professional integrity.Prior experience leading large-scale public affairs, legal-policy programming, or long-format editorial products.What We Expect
