Job Location - Kolkata, West Bengal (Full-time, On-site)

About the Role

We are looking for an individual who is obsessed with markets, someone who questions assumptions, tests new hypotheses, and is relentless about generating alpha. This is not a “button-clicking” trade execution role. We are builders, experimenters, and research-driven market practitioners. We prefer someone who tests, fails, optimizes, and rises again - a trader who thinks like a quant and executes like a professional.

This is a newly established trading desk, which means the pace is fast, the work is hands-on, and the learning curve is steep. If you enjoy chaos, love structure, can think systematically, and want to be a part of something being built from the ground up - this is for you.

Qualifications & Skills

1. 2–3 years of experience in Equity & Derivatives Research and Live Execution in Indian Markets, with relevant NISM certifications.

2. Demonstrated P&L performance, showcasing healthy win rates, risk-adjusted returns, and discipline.

3. Strong familiarity with Market, Limit, GTT, Bracket Orders using retail brokers (Zerodha, Dhan, Groww, etc.) and Institutional terminals (ODIN, NEST, Greek, etc.).

4. Hands-on experience in technical research & strategy development, especially on NIFTY50, BANKNIFTY, and MIDCAPNIFTY.

5. Solid understanding of Risk Management across Cash and Derivatives; must maintain detailed journals and track plan-vs-execution deviations.

6. Thorough knowledge of F&O mechanics — Greeks, volatility modelling, margin frameworks, premiums / discounts, expiry dynamics, and lot structures.

7. Ability to think quantitatively; basic proficiency in Python / Data Engineering is a strong plus.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Continuously monitor price action, volumes, derivatives data, and market internals across multiple instruments using advanced charting tools.

2. Execute OptiXen-generated recommendations with high accuracy and minimal latency.

3. Manage watchlists, key levels, and dynamic conditions as per OptiXen signals and internal frameworks.

4. Maintain daily trade journals, contract note reconciliations, and performance reviews.

5. Stay updated on global and domestic macro / micro events impacting market structure and volatility.

6. Identify emerging patterns, study execution outcomes, and provide data-driven insights to the OptiXen product & research team for continuous system refinement.
