Engineering Technology Leader

Dil Foods is a pioneering force in the food industry, leveraging underutilized restaurant spaces to create a network of virtual restaurants across India. As we continue to innovate and expand, we are looking for a visionary Vice President of Engineering to lead our technological advancements and support our growth.

The Vice President of Engineering will be responsible for overseeing the engineering department and aligning its operations with the strategic goals of Dil Foods. This role demands a leader who can manage, motivate, and direct the development team as well as data team while ensuring the implementation of high-quality technology solutions that enhance business efficiency and customer satisfaction.

• Oversee all technical aspects of engineering projects and play a hands-on role in developing and reviewing code. Ensure the use of best practices in software development and integration.
• Develop strategic plans for the company’s technology presence, including but not limited to software development, system architecture, and technology stack integration.
• Manage and expand the engineering team, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
• Oversee the development and delivery of technology projects on time, within scope, and with high quality.
• Foster innovation, prioritize technology initiatives, and coordinate the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future technologies.
• Work closely with Marketing, Business Development, and Operations to define and deliver new products and enhancements.
• Ensure that all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards and internal requirements.
• Communicate technology strategy to restaurant partners, internal team, vendors and investors.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a similar leadership role in a technology-driven environment, with a track record of hands-on development and coding.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage and motivate high-performing teams.
• Proficiency in full-stack development, with strong coding skills and the ability to contribute to coding tasks and review code as needed.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms, modern programming languages (such as Python, PHP, Java, React. Vue), and architectural patterns (such as MVC, Microservices).
• Experience in managing a portfolio of projects with a strong ability to prioritize.
• Deep understanding of budgeting and resource allocation.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and influence senior management and stakeholders.
