Key Responsibilities :
Technology Leadership :
- Define and execute the companys technology vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Lead and mentor engineering, DevOps, quality and IT support team.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance product performance, scalability, and security.
- Keep pace with emerging trends in digital payments, payment APIs, fraud prevention, and financial regulations.
- Drive innovation in payment processing, settlement systems, and merchant onboarding technologies.
Product Development :
Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of payment products, from conception to deployment.Design high-availability systems that support real-time transaction processing.Ensure robust API frameworks for seamless integration with merchants, banks, wallets, andpayment networks (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, UPI, etc.).
Collaborate with Product, Compliance, and Data teams to deliver innovative and compliantfinancial solutions.
Ensure timely delivery of high-quality, user-centric applications (e.g., mobile banking apps,payment gateways).
Security & Compliance :
Ensure infrastructure, software, and data systems comply with regulatory standards (e.g., PCI DSS, SOC 2, GDPR).Implement robust cybersecurity protocols and risk management practices.Ensure all systems are built with a strong focus on fraud prevention, risk controls, and data encryption.Liaise with legal, risk, and compliance teams to meet regulatory standards (e.g., RBI, GDPR, PSD2).Architecture & Infrastructure :
Architect scalable cloud-native systems, APIs, and microservices to support rapid growth.Oversee the architecture of the payment aggregator platform, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.Manage technical debt and ensure systems are maintainable and Management & Culture :Attract, retain, and develop top technical talent.Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Lead and grow multidisciplinary tech teams including backend, frontend, DevOps, QA, and InfoSec.Foster a high-performance, agile engineering culture with a focus on quality, reliability, and speed.Mentor senior engineering leaders and establish clear performance metrics.Stakeholder Collaboration :
Work closely with CEO, CFO, and Product teams to align technology initiatives with business growth and financial performance.Manage technical vendor relationships and evaluate third-party platforms and tools.Partner with executive leadership on strategic decisions.Communicate technology strategy and progress to board members, investors, and non-technical stakeholders.Qualifications : Required :
Proven experience 15+ years in a senior technology leadership role, preferably in fintech, banking, or payments.Deep knowledge of financial systems, digital payments, blockchain, lending platforms, or trading systems.Strong technical background in software development, cloud computing (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), cybersecurity, and data architecture.Experience with regulatory environments and financial compliance frameworks.Preferred :
Master's or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.Prior startup or scale-up experience.Understanding of emerging technologies like AI / ML in finance, blockchain, and DeFi.Key Competencies :
