This role can be based out in Mumbai or Chennai
The Student Recruitment Manager, India, is responsible for recruitment focused activities to promote the University of Western Australia and its India Branch Campuses. This position will have a particular focus on developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in India, including secondary schools, agents, prospective students and influencers.
Your key responsibilities
- Plan, implement and evaluate a range of recruitment and engagement activities to promote UWA and its India Branch Campuses.
- Develop and manage relationships with education agents, counsellors, schools, and institutional partners to support recruitment goals.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the regional recruitment strategy in collaboration with the International Relationships Manager and Regional Managers.
- Represent the University at education fairs, agent training events, school visits, and other student engagement initiatives.
- Deliver engaging presentations and workshops for prospective students, parents, and key influencers.
- Monitor agent performance, providing feedback, training, and support to ensure quality representation of UWA.
- Gather and report market intelligence on competitor activity, emerging trends, and regulatory developments in the Indian education sector.
- Support visiting UWA staff, including logistics, meeting coordination, and in-market assistance.
- Maintain strong internal relationships with academic and professional areas to ensure alignment of recruitment messages and activities.
- Contribute to marketing campaigns, digital initiatives, and content that enhance UWA’s brand and recruitment outcomes.
- Undertake other duties and projects as directed to support the goals of the Future Students team.

Experience working for an overseas higher education institutionLocated in Chennai / Mumbai.Experience in working with education agents and school counsellorsAbility to work independently and proactively, while contributing effectively as part of a team.Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines, while focusing on KPI’s.Consistently meets agreed-upon targets through effective planning, prioritization, and follow-through.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools, and confidence using digital communication platforms. Strong understanding of the Australian, Indian and international education systems.Good understanding of domestic recruitment market of relevant to a foreign branch Campus in India.Demonstrated ability to deliver professional presentations to diverse audiencesSpecial requirements (selection criteria)
