About the Role :
We are looking for a detail oriented and proactive Payments Operations Intern to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about finance, enjoys working with data, and is eager to learn about payment processing and reconciliation. You will play a key role in supporting our daily operations, ensuring data accuracy, and contributing to the smooth functioning of our payment systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct daily analysis of transaction data and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Monitor the performance of our payment gateways, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Perform data quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency across all datasets.
- Support the chargeback process, including understanding the nuances and representing cases effectively.
- Contribute to the preparation of weekly and monthly performance summaries, providing insights for strategic decision-making.
- Support the reconciliation process by ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and that discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
Requirements :
Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced features such as PivotTables, VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP, and formulas.A detail oriented approach with excellent organizational skills.Clear and professional written communication skills.Basic knowledge of SQL (preferred) for simple data queries.Familiarity with payment gateways, chargebacks, and digital payments operations (preferred).Understanding of reconciliation processes (preferred).Required Tools :
Excel, Power Query, Google Sheets / Docs, Metabase, Slack, Gmail, and ticketing / documentation tools like Jira, Confluence, or Notion.
Success Metrics :
Achieving a daily reporting accuracy and timeliness rate of at least 98%.Maintaining clean, up-to-date documentation and performing thorough QA checks.Completing onboarding tasks within the designated Service Level Agreements (SLAs).Ensuring reconciliation accuracy and resolving discrepancies promptly.Apply now and grow with us.
