Job Summary : The Level 1 Network Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues. This role involves monitoring network performance, resolving connectivity problems, and ensuring that the campus network is stable and well connected to the globe.Key Responsibilities : Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.Respond to and resolve internet connectivity by logging support tickets within defined SLAs.Troubleshoot and diagnose basic LAN / WAN connectivity issues.Perform routine network maintenance and assist in implementing network changes.Support configuration and installation of routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points under supervision.Maintain network documentation including topology diagrams, device inventory, and configuration records.Assist in network upgrades activities, patch management, and device replacements.Coordinate with vendors and service providers for network-related issues.Provide user support for VPN, Wi-Fi connectivity, and IP configuration.Required Skills and Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (CS / IT / ENTC) or related field.Min 2 years of experience in network support or administration.Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, OSPF, etc.).Familiarity with Cisco or similar network devices and tools.Good understanding of network monitoring tools (e.G., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios).Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.Preferred Certifications : Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)Juniper JNCIA or equivalent
