Role Description

The Data Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL workflows using Talend to support data integration, transformation, and migration across systems. The role involves building robust data pipelines, ensuring data quality and reliability, optimising performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver clean, structured, and actionable data for analytics and business reporting.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and deploy ETL processes using Talend (Open Studio or Enterprise).

Extract data from various sources (databases, APIs, flat files) and load it into data warehouses or data lakes.

Administer Talend Management Console and monitor the good execution of the Talend job

Document processes, data flows, and technical specifications.

Required Skills :

2+ years of experience in ETL development using Talend or a similar ETL Solution

Good understanding of ETL principles and data warehousing concepts.

Hands-on experience in data extraction, transformation, and loading from diverse sources.

Experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.).

Preferred Skills :

Knowledge of ELT Processing ( Extract, Load, Transform ).

Write custom logic in Java (as needed) to support complex transformations or business logic.

Familiarity with REST APIs, file formats (CSV, JSON, XML), and batch processing.

Experience with cloud platforms (Azure).

Proficiency with Git or other version control tools.

Educational Qualification :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Effective communication and documentation skills.
