Job Description :

• Creating and implementing the infrastructure strategy for the Organization (comprising of Database solutions, licensing and procurement) to ensure reliability and security.
• Review and analyse existing infrastructure effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging databases
• Define and implement standards that improve the Database processes
• Interacts with senior management / peers within company on matters where they may need to gain acceptance on an alternate approach
• Manages Outsourced team for daily operations / activities
• Provide solutions to complex business problems for area(s) of responsibility where analysis of situations requires an in depth knowledge of organizational objectives
• Performing Live DR activities and DR drills periodically.
• Working knowledge of Oracle, MS-SQL, My-SQL, PostgreSQL, Vertica database and Oracle RAC.
• Production Incident Management
• Regulatory Compliance

Educational Qualification : Graduation B.Sc or BE

Experience : Must have 8 to 10+ years’ experience managing a Oracle database administrator

Skills Required : Working knowledge of planning and executing Oracle, MS-SQL, My-SQL, PostgreSQL & Vertica database. Working knowledge of server, storage and network architectures.

Experience with design, strategy, and best practices. Experience of handling Oracle Real application clusters. Experience in managing DC – DR scenario and having skills in replicating database between DC to DR.

Functional Competencies required : Working knowledge of planning and executing Oracle, MS-SQL, My-SQL, PostgreSQL & Vertica database. Working knowledge of Oracle real application clusters. Must be able to work closely with Applications and technology teams in the company for formulating strategies for replication of database. Have attitude in decision making and determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments Performing Live DR activities and DR drills periodically. Actively Involved in regular DR planning and DR drills.
