About the Role :

As a Business Development Manager at Uplers in Mumbai, you will play a crucial role in expanding our footprint and driving revenue growth within the Indian market. You will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new clients, building strong relationships, and strategically positioning Uplers' comprehensive suite of digital services to meet their evolving needs. This is an exciting opportunity for a results-oriented individual with a passion for sales and a deep understanding of the digital landscape.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Client Acquisition :

  • Identify and target potential new clients within various industries (e.g., agencies, enterprises, startups) in India, with a focus on Mumbai and surrounding regions.
  • Develop and execute a robust business development strategy to achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.

Sales Cycle Management :

  • Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Proactively generate leads through various channels including cold outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn), networking events, and referrals.
  • Qualify prospects effectively, understanding their business challenges and pain points.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and pitches tailored to client needs.
  • Negotiate contract terms and pricing to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Relationship Building & Stakeholder Management :

  • Build and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with prospective and existing clients.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, understanding client requirements and recommending suitable Uplers' solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (e.g., Marketing, Solutions, Delivery) to ensure seamless client onboarding and satisfaction.
  • Reporting & Analytics :

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Generate regular reports on sales pipeline, forecast, and performance against targets.
  • Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales strategies.
  • Industry Expertise & Thought Leadership :

  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in digital marketing, web development, and design services.
  • Act as an evangelist for Uplers' services, participating in industry events and sharing insights.
  • What You'll Bring : Experience :

  • 4 to 6 years of proven experience in Business Development or Sales, preferably within the Digital Marketing, Web Development, IT Services, or Staff Augmentation industry.
  • Demonstrated track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience in a B2B sales environment, with a strong understanding of complex sales cycles.
  • Skills :

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills (both written and verbal).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust quickly.
  • Proficiency in lead generation, prospecting, and cold outreach techniques.
  • Ability to understand client requirements and articulate how Uplers' solutions can address them.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to sales.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing concepts (SEO, SEM, Social Media, Email Marketing), web development technologies (e.g., WordPress, PHP, HTML), and design principles is a strong plus.
