Key Responsibilities
Prepare chemicals, reagents, glassware, and equipment before each practical session.
Assist faculty during lab demonstrations and experiments.
Guide students in conducting experiments safely and accurately.
Label, store, and handle chemicals as per safety standards.
Maintain laboratory instruments, glassware, and workstations in clean working condition.
Monitor and manage inventory of chemicals, consumables, and equipment.
Ensure compliance with safety rules, laboratory protocols, and emergency procedures.
Perform basic instrument calibration and troubleshooting (e.g., pH meters, colorimeters, burettes, spectrophotometers).
Assist in preparing experiment manuals, lab sheets, and documentation as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry / Applied Chemistry / relevant science discipline.
6 months to 2 years of experience working in an academic or research chemistry lab.
Strong understanding of basic chemistry concepts, lab safety, and practical techniques.
Ability to handle chemicals, prepare solutions, and follow standard lab procedures.
Good communication and student-handling skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain an organized workspace.
Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)
Experience with hazardous chemical handling and waste disposal protocols.
Knowledge of titration techniques, chromatography, and basic analytical instruments.
Familiarity with laboratory management or documentation software.
