Role Summary :

We are looking for a Performance Tester who will have technical experience of hands-on delivery of client / technical projects of over 4 years. You will have experience of working under your own supervision reporting to a team lead and would have on occasion had the opportunity to lead mentor or guide others.  The ideal candidate will have experience in testing software applications for performance reliability and scalability. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our applications meet and exceed user expectations.

You will report to the QA Manager work alongside the Automation / Performance Test Lead product and development teams to ensure a high standard of quality in our products. You will carry out performance testing on our products. You will have the chance to test modern products based on technology.

You will design maintain and execute performance test suites in Performance Tests tools this will like predominantly be J M meter but other tools may be required depending on the programme / project .

You will be responsible for logging defects for the areas where performance is below acceptable level. You will produce a performance test report and share it with development team and QA leads.

Over time your role will grow and become more varied as you begin to test a larger variety of products across the NEC SWS Health range. We are constantly developing new and cutting edge scalable solutions and we need a highly skilled Performance Testing QA expert who embraces problem solving on products built with new well-structured code as well as elements of legacy code.

SkillSet / Responsibilities

Essential :

• Hands on experience on more than one performance testing tool : Jmeter LoadRunner NeoLoad OpenSTA VSTS etc.
• Thorough understanding of concepts like think time transaction think time user load ramp up warm up endurance stress load performance stress etc.
• Primary responsibility is to ensure efficient effective and economic performance testing of the system under test using appropriate strategies and techniques.
• Tracking personal tasks allocated by a Test or Development Lead.
• Collating performance requirements. To work as part of the test team integrating closely with various stakeholders to understand the product set and conduct performance testing activities.
• Identify performance test scenarios using the requirements (in different form) and SLAs (if any).
• Installing and managing the configuration of Performance Testing Tools.
• Designing Test Scenarios to meet documented test requirements.
• Build test data generation scripts.
• Conduct load testing stress testing and scalability testing.
• Good analytical skills to narrow down the performance issue i.e. ability to Identify troubleshoot and resolve performance issues including analysis of the underlying hosting infrastructure .
• Designing and preparing Test Data to support test requirements.
• Collecting and reporting on Test Outcomes including metrics and Status reports. Analyze and report performance metrics.
• Conforming to processes standards and guidelines for project delivery.
• Advanced to expert command of JMeter in its uses and capabilities.
• 4 years of experience in Performance Testing.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to improve performance.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
