PMD Fitter

Job Description

• The PMD Fitter is responsible for the preventive and routine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment and machinery within the facility.
• This role involves conducting regular inspections, identifying and fixing mechanical issues, and ensuring equipment reliability to support uninterrupted production.
• The PMD Fitter will also work closely with the maintenance team to ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance protocols.

Requirements

Preventive Maintenance : Perform regular preventive maintenance tasks on equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, adjustments, and part replacements to reduce equipment downtime.

Troubleshooting & Repair : Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with equipment, utilizing hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment; carry out repairs or adjustments as needed.

Inspection : Conduct routine inspections to identify worn, damaged, or faulty parts, and proactively address potential issues to avoid unplanned breakdowns.

Equipment Setup : Assist in the setup, calibration, and alignment of equipment and machinery as required to meet production needs.

Documentation : Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records, including details of repairs, parts used, and scheduled maintenance activities.

Inventory Management : Monitor and manage spare parts and tools inventory, coordinating with the procurement team to ensure necessary materials are in stock.

Safety Compliance : Adhere to and enforce safety protocols and procedures within the maintenance department; participate in safety meetings and training sessions as required.

Collaboration : Work closely with the production and engineering teams to minimize production disruptions and provide technical support for process improvements.

Continuous Improvement : Recommend and implement improvements to maintenance practices, machinery performance, and department efficiency.
