Position Overview : Director of Communications
Ladli Foundation is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven Director of Communications to lead its national and international communication strategy. This senior role is ideal for someone who can amplify social impact stories, shape public discourse, and elevate the organization’s voice across global platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute integrated communication strategies aligned with organizational goals.
Strengthen Ladli’s global brand identity across all regions of operation.
Oversee public relations, campaigns, and thought leadership initiatives.
Media & External Relations
Build and maintain strong relationships with national and international media.
Lead press conferences, media briefings, and crisis communication efforts.
Craft compelling narratives on women’s rights, public health, and social justice issues.
Content & Digital Communications
Oversee content creation for social media, reports, newsletters, and impact stories.
Guide storytelling for fundraising, advocacy, and international collaborations.
Supervise multimedia content, blogs, op-eds, and documentary-style communication.
Internal Communication
Standardize communication flows across global units (USA, Africa, Europe, etc.).
Train team members on communication protocols and brand messaging.
Preferred Candidate Profile
We strongly prefer candidates who have :
Journalism background or have served as a Senior Journalist , Editor, or Bureau Chief.
Proven expertise in reporting or storytelling on social issues , human rights, public health, gender equality, or marginalized communities.
Outstanding writing, editorial, and public speaking skills.
Demonstrated ability to craft narratives that influence public opinion and policymakers.
Strong network within media, civil society, and social impact sectors.
Experience working with NGOs, UN bodies, government agencies, or advocacy organizations (preferred but not mandatory).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Policy, or related fields.
8–15 years of professional experience in media, communications, or advocacy.
Leadership experience managing communication teams or newsrooms.
