Finance & Accounting Team Lead

Location : Ahmedabad Shift Timing : 2 : 00 PM to 11 : 00 PM (IST)

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified CA or CPA with extensive experience in Finance & Accounting (F&A) and the Record to Report (R2R) process. The ideal candidate will have a solid grounding in US accounting standards (US GAAP) and proven leadership skills in managing end-to-end R2R operations. As a Team Leader , you will oversee accounting deliverables, manage a team of finance professionals, and ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in all reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Record to Report (R2R) process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end / year-end close.

Review and oversee the preparation and finalization of financial statements and management reports.

Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end closing activities in line with US GAAP and company policies.

Supervise a team of accountants, providing guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback .

Review balance sheet reconciliations , accruals, and other accounting adjustments.

Drive process improvements and automation within the F&A domain to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Partner with cross-functional teams (AP, AR, FP&A) to ensure seamless accounting operations.

Manage audit requirements , internal controls, and compliance documentation.

Identify and mitigate risks in accounting processes through proactive controls.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification is mandatory.

3–5 years of experience in Finance & Accounting, with strong exposure to the Record to Report (R2R) cycle.

1–2 years of experience in a team leadership or supervisory role.

In-depth understanding of US GAAP , general ledger accounting, and financial reporting.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process-improvement skills.

Proficient in ERP systems (e.G., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks).

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Prior experience in a shared services or KPO environment is a plus.
