A Big4 Consulting firm is setting up a GCC, and procurement will be one of the key functions within the center. They are looking to onboard a Procurement Lead who will manage a team of 5–6 people in the GCC. The role requires 7–10 years of procurement experience, including a few years in a leadership position. The expert should have experience in indirect procurement and be familiar with procurement technologies such as Workday Strategic Sourcing, SAP Ariba, etc. They should be customer-centric and have a strong understanding of procurement rules and guidelines. The role also requires prior GCC experience, supplier management across multiple categories, contracting experience, and the ability to work in a target-oriented environment while managing and meeting procurement KPIs.
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Lead and oversee the full procurement lifecycle across the GCC and drive procurement analytics and reporting to executive leadership.
- Manage the end-to-end RFx process (RFI, RFP, RFQ), ensuring effective competition, compliance, and alignment with category and business requirements.
- Oversee creation, close / cancel or amendment of PO and collaborate with finance on PO / invoice management.
- Administer contract creation, review, renewal, and amendment processes in coordination with global legal and compliance teams.
- Own and govern the vendor onboarding process, ensuring due diligence, risk assessments, and adherence to compliance requirements.
- Maintain and ensure the integrity of vendor master data, implementing controls and serve as the escalation point for supplier queries, disputes, and performance issues, ensuring prompt resolution and relationship stability.
- Champion digital procurement tools (e.G., SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle, or equivalent) to enable process automation and transparency.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives in sourcing processes, cycle times, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to corporate procurement policies, governance frameworks, and local regulatory requirements.
