Ensure that all critical contractual issues, such as contractual communications, bank guarantee management, extension of time, liquidated damages, suspension, variations, extra items, de-scoping, termination and claims, are administered effectively to safeguard the interests of GPL
- Analyse reasons for delays and disruptions, identify client-related issues and issue notifications and change orders in consultation with the Project Manager
- Administer the procurement process, developing strategic project procurement plans
- Conduct periodic reviews with various suppliers and contractors, report all potential or anticipated claims, restrict the impact of claims by agencies during the contract period, control cost variations and extra claims, identify possible counterclaims and conduct periodic reviews of contractual correspondence with vendors
- Ensure insurance coverage throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure that all contractual correspondence and contract administration are properly monitored and addressed to safeguard the interests of GPL
- Ensure the contractor meets all contractual deliverables as per the conditions of the contract
- Conduct due diligence on non-tendered items and claims submitted by the contractor
- Due diligence includes scrutinizing items as payable and non-payable (with reference to the Conditions of Contract) and finalizing the best feasible rates for payable items according to current market rates for the same work
- Maintain an organized system of physical and digital records
- Draft contractual responses using appropriate contract terminology and clauses
- Oversee staff deployment, drive team motivation levels, monitor staff welfare, facilitate complaint resolution, manage efficiency levels, and ensure timely delivery of all operational targets
- Prepare a proposed risk mitigation plan from a contractual perspective
Who are we looking for?
Education :
A Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering
Experience :
15+ years of related work experience in the field of contracts administration of construction projects
Skills :
Strong negotiation and communication skills
Proficient in contract law and administration
