What you will be doing at Evalueserve-
As an equity research analyst, the selected candidate will track specific securities and conduct a detailed analysis covering all relevant aspects that may affect securities. The role also involves a high level of interaction with senior stakeholders on an ongoing basis, wherein the selected candidate will be required to present work to the client and discuss day-to-day work.
Create and maintain MS Excel-based financial models with forecasts
Conduct extensive company valuations involving approaches such as DCF, DDM, trading and transaction multiples, and EVA
Benchmark companies using financial and operating statistics
Prepare company profiles, earnings and flash notes, quarterly updates, coverage, sector and theme-based reports, newsletters, etc.
Support onshore analysts in time-sensitive earnings updates
Track news, events, and results of the companies under coverage
Track and monitor regulatory trends impacting the industry
Collect information from industry or sector databases
Create presentations on industry and company research for marketing and roadshow activities
Collect financial data using online and other market sources, such as Bloomberg
Create / maintain industry databases wherever relevant
Summarize investment conference calls
Handle ad hoc research requests
What we are looking for-
MBA / CA with 2+ years of relevant experience in equity research
CFA Level 1, 2, or 3 (pursuing or completed) will be an added advantage
Ability to identify and solve issues effectively and within strict deadlines
Strong understanding of accounting concepts and valuation methodologies
Expertise in building financial models with forecasting
Good financial writing skills (beyond factual reporting, such as company description)
Ability to build client rapport and work in sync with onshore teams
Ability to work independently and eye for detail
Ability to identify and solve issues effectively on time
Proactiveness and thought leadership
Knowledge of databases, including Bloomberg, FactSet, and other financial data systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel
Knowledge of VBA will be an advantage
