Purchasing / Administration Officer

Dandenong Location

Our client is a leading Australian manufacturer of specialised cable who have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Purchasing / Administration Officer to join their team.

Your responsibilities will include; but not limited to :

Liaising with suppliers and build and maintaining existing relationships

Assisting with stock level monitoring and reports

Analysing and reviewing any matters regarding quotations, and pricing

Track and manage deliveries by communicating regularly with Freight Forwarding suppliers

Prepare and process purchase orders

Ensuring that the best possible price is obtained using various resources

Administration

To be successful for this role you must :

Experience working in a similar role within a fast paced environment desired

Excellent organisational and time management skills

High attention to detail

Have excellent negotiation, problem solving and planning skills

Exceptional Communication skills both verbal and written

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Experience in building strong professional working relationships with customers both internal and external

Computer / IT literate
