Overview of the job

Lead indirect spend pool sourcing for a P&G India site including goods as well as services within defined spend range. Collaborate with internal as well external stakeholders to generate right value creation for the organization while ensuring service to internal stakeholders and governance throughout the sourcing process.

Your team

This role reports to SDS Cluster Manager Purchases & person will be located out of Mumbai, India.

How success looks like

Value Creation – Drive exceptional impact through Value Creation in Cost & Cash in respective sourcing desk. Sufficient pipeline to be developed to meet the internal target of Cost savings / Cash as it is a critical success criterion.

Stewardship & Governance – Understand the purchases policies & sourcing principles. There should not be any misses on stewardship & take necessary actions to ensure audit gaps closure. Person should be able to demonstrate & guide users on right thing to do in line with our PVPs.

Simplification & User experience – Analyse the processes to identify simplification opportunities in the sourcing activities across spend pools to ensure exceptional user experience. Proactively support any business-critical situations to ensure no business risk.

Productivity – Championing productivity through eliminating unnecessary, overly complex, or duplicative work / costs that do not create value. Adopt structured approach to manage daily purchases requisitions & drive effective reviews with team as well as manager.

Responsibilities of the role

• Individual is expected to source Indirect goods / services (Indirect) independently for respective sites in the scope.
• Review open purchase requisitions on daily basis along with cluster leader & create best value for the organization.
• Ensure timely closure of sourcing of requisitions to avoid any impact on business continuity.
• Identify savings opportunities by collaborating with site stakeholders & execute to meet internal value creation targets.
• Collaborate with plant / site users to ensure supplier sufficiency for each commodity & identify new suppliers wherever required to facilitate the site.
• Ensure compliance to purchasing policies throughout the processes & correct the gaps.

Job Qualifications

Graduate and above with preference to prior procurement / sourcing experience of 2+ years.

Effective communication skills to drive effective reviews for his / her desk with Leadership.

Demonstrate strong Sourcing and Negotiation skills to deliver YoY business results in Service, Cost, Cash & Vendor Performance.
