Job descriptionB.E. / B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering M.E. / M.Tech (Preferred) Familiarity with IS, ASME, API, ASHRAE Standards desirable. Mechanical system / equipment design, sizing, selection & datasheet preparation Develop PFDs, P&IDs, Mass / Energy Balance, GADs, BOQs, Isometrics & Mechanical Layouts Detailed design for Piping, HVAC, Pressure Vessels, Boilers, Heat Exchangers Review vendor drawings, prepare RFQs & support procurement decisions Generate engineering documentation, BOMs, O&M manuals, maintain design records Ensure adherence to project specifications, design standards & compliance Liaise with Process, Civil, E&I, Procurement & Execution teams Support commissioning and participate in PGTR activities Coordinate with clients, consultants and vendors for drawing & design approvals

Hindustan Waste Treatment Pvt. Ltd. (HWT) is a 100% subsidiary of SFC Environmental Technologies Ltd., engaged in technology, process design, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, project execution, and operations & maintenance of integrated municipal solid waste (MSW) treatment plants. HWT has two operating reference plants, with multiple projects under execution across India.
Role Definition :
The Senior Design Engineer (Mechanical) will be responsible for Basic & Detailed Mechanical Engineering Design for Solid Waste Management projects. The role includes developing engineering documents, equipment sizing, design calculations, piping layouts, drawings, vendor interaction, ensuring design compliance and supporting project execution teams.
Experience
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in design for Wastewater / Chemical / MSW projects / Petrochemical / Power / Utilities sectors
