Role Description – Design Consultant (Sales)
This is a full-time, on-site position based in
Ahmedabad . The
Design Consultant – Sales
will be responsible for managing client interactions, converting design inquiries into successful projects, and supporting the sales team in client meetings by presenting design-focused insights and solutions. The role involves understanding client design expectations deeply, pitching creative ideas, curating mood boards and conceptual layouts, and ensuring seamless coordination between sales and design execution teams. The candidate will also contribute to market research, sales forecasting, and compiling accurate sales reports.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with the sales team and
collaborate as a buddy during client meetings , complementing them with design expertise.
Handle incoming project leads through
calls, emails, and walk-ins .
Conduct initial consultations to understand client needs, preferences, and budgets.
Understand client-specific design requirements and translate them into concepts.
Curate mood boards, inspiration boards, conceptual sketches, and 2D design layouts
for client presentations.
Pitch creative design ideas
and present design concepts effectively to clients.
Ensure clear understanding of project scope and communicate expectations accurately to internal design and execution teams.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, enhancing trust and repeat business.
Identify new business opportunities and potential client categories.
Conduct market research and competition analysis.
Prepare and present sales forecasts, performance reports, and documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education background in
Interior Design / Architecture
is
mandatory .
2–5 years of experience
in interior design sales, design consultancy, or client handling within the interior design industry.
Proven experience in
Sales & Business Development
with strong design understanding.
Knowledge of
FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) .
Excellent
communication, negotiation, and presentation
skills.
Strong
Customer Relationship Management
skills.
Ability to think creatively and develop design concepts aligned with client briefs.
Strong collaboration and
team support abilities .
Gujarati language proficiency is a MUST .
Prior experience in
market research and sales forecasting
is preferred.
