Job descriptionLead the Automation Hardware department in developing cutting-edge hardware solutions. Manage a team of engineers and technicians, fostering an innovative and collaborative work environment. Oversee project management processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of automation hardware systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align hardware developments with company strategy and customer needs. Stay updated with the latest technological advancements and incorporate relevant innovations into the department’s projects. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners to optimize the supply chain. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including safety and quality norms. Prepare and manage the department budget, focusing on resource allocation and cost efficiency. Conduct performance evaluations and provide mentoring and professional development opportunities for team members. Strategic Leadership : Define the strategic direction for the automation hardware division. Identify new technologies and trends to ensure competitive edge. Align departmental goals with organizational objectives. Team Management : Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technicians. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment. Oversee recruitment and professional development within the department. Project Management : Manage end-to-end projects, from concept to deployment. Ensure projects are delivered on-time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware with software and systems. Vendor and Partner Collaboration : Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and technology partners. Negotiate contracts and agreements that benefit the organization. Coordinate with external partners for collaborations. Budgeting and Resource Allocation : Prepare and manage departmental budgets. Allocate resources efficiently to optimize output. Evaluate cost-effectiveness and ROI of projects and technologies. Quality Assurance and Compliance : Implement and oversee quality control processes. Ensure all hardware meets industry standards and regulatory requirements. Develop safety protocols and risk management strategies. Certification in GAMP 5 or Validation Processes. ISO 9001 : 2015 or related Quality Management certifications. Strong leadership and project management abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Analytical thinking with problem-solving aptitude. Ability to strategize and execute long-term technological plans. Financial acumen related to budgeting and cost management. Ability to adapt quickly to changing industry landscapes and business needs.
Job Overview :
The Senior Manager for Automation Hardware oversees the design, development, and implementation of hardware systems for automation processes. They ensure that projects align with organizational goals and technological advancements, maintaining the highest quality and efficiency standards.
Education Qualification :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and control Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience (typically 15+ years) in hardware engineering in automation.
- Proven track record in a leadership role, managing teams and projects in a dynamic environment.
- Solid understanding of automation technologies, including AI, and IoT.
- Experience with design software, simulation tools, and CAD.
